River Len Walk

This walk takes you through the River Len Nature Reserve in Maidstone.
You can start your walk from the western end of the lake in Mote Park and then follow trails west along the river. The 1.7-hectare reserve, managed by Maidstone Borough Council, provides visitors with the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife, including water voles and soldier beetles.

River Len LNR. The River Len is a 16 km long tributary of the River Medway in Kent, originating in Bluebell Woods near Platt's Heath. It flows through Maidstone, with tributaries including The Fair Bourne, Leeds Stream, and Hollingbourne Stream. Historically, the river powered numerous watermills, including those at Leeds Castle and Turkey Mill.
