Tomintoul Circular Walk

4.2 miles (6.7 km)

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This circular walk explores the area surrounding the delightful village of Tomintoul in Moray. The village is notable as the highest village in the Highlands.
Tomintoul is a pleasant place for a walk being surrounded by the countryside and woodland of the Glenlivet Estate. There's also nice views of Conglass Water which runs to the north of the village.
You can start the walk from the car park in the village and then follow quiet footpaths and lanes around the village. Along the way there are some splendid views of the Cairngorms and a bird hide where you can look out for a variety of wildlife.
The Speyside Way also runs through the village. You could pick up the waymarked trail and follow it north to visit the famous Glenlivet Whisky distillery.
