Glencar Waterfall Walk
This walk visits the beautiful Glencar Waterfall in County Leitrim.
Start the walk from the Glencar Lough car park at the eastern end of the lake. From here you can pick up a lovely, surfaced footpath running along a stream to the falls. It's a delightful area with the waterside paths surrounded by attractive woodland. After rain the waterfall is particularly impressive.
After visiting the falls you can follow the same paths back to the car park where there is a nice tea room for refreshments after your exercise.
To continue you walk you can follow the lakeside paths heading west from the car park. There's great views over the lake to the surrounding countryside and lots of water loving wildlife to look out for too. You could also head south and enjoy more lakeside walks at the pretty Lough Gill. You can also pick up the long distance Sligo Way here too.
