Saggart Woods Slade Valley Walk
This walk explores the Saggart Woods in the Slade Valley near Brittas, County Dublin.
The expansive area of woodland has some good trails and is popular with mountain bikers as well. There is also a woodland area to the east of the Slade Valley golf course to explore.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas
A few miles north of Tallaght there's another major highlight of the area at Tymon Park. Here you will find miles of waymarked trails taking you to pretty lakes, tree lined avenues and the River Poddle.
To the south west there's more waterside walking along Poulaphouca Reservoir at the expansive Blessington Lakes. The village of Ballymore Eustace is also located close to the lakes. Here you can pick up the popular Ballymore Eustace Loop and enjoy pleasant footpaths along the River Liffey and some fine views over the Golden Falls Reservoir.
To the south there's Ticknock Forest where you can climb to the Two Rock and Three Rock Mountains and enjoy amazing views over Dublin.
To the south east there's fine viewpoints, woodland trails, historic leadmines and a noteworthy ruined ancient church on the Barnaslingan and Carrickgollogan Walk.
To the west there's the historic town of Naas where you can enjoy an easy stroll along the Naas Branch of the Grand Canal canal. The Sallins Canal Walk also starts near here.
Head north west and you can explore the popular Donadea Forest. The woods include some pleasant walking trails taking you through mixed woodland to a pretty lake.
